Pressure Vessel and Mechanical Systems Engineer

Position: Pressure Vessel and Mechanical Systems Engineer (Job Code: 1001)
Duties: Responsible for performing a combination of R&D and Product Development activities for new and existing product lines; complete full-cycle design processes including the design review, engineering, rating, layout, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of HTTP vessels and associated components; design pressure vessel components including reactors, boilers, dryers, and separators using principal stress theory; create 3D vessel models, BOMs, and detailed fabrication drawings using COMPRESS, HTRI, and SolidWorks; design pressure vessels that comply with appropriate ASME section standards; perform thermal and mechanical functionality analysis for the design of vessels, heat exchangers, steam boilers and other separator equipment; utilize and apply knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM), Bill of Materials, Design of Static Equipment, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, ERP Systems, TEMA, ASME Section II standards/codes, and ASME Section VIII pressure vessels standards/codes to preform assigned duties; document and report for Pressure System equipment development activities including technical specifications, drafting the structural design , review of mechanical strength calculation, fabrication drawings and as-built documents; and provide assistance at supplier plants and facilities as needed to support pressure vessel engineering systems.

Salary: $95,000 per year
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Masters – Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
Training: None
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Mechanical Engineer, ad a Mechanical Design Engineer, as a Research Engineer, or in a related occupation.
Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years of use of all the following: COMPRESS, Design for Manufacture (DFM), HTRI, Bill of Materials, Design of Static Equipment, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, ERP Systems, TEMA, SolidWorks, ASME Section II standards/codes, and ASME Section VIII pressure vessels standards/codes.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
