(Lancaster, PA) – Eric Schraud, Founder and CEO of GenHydro, a renewable energy project development firm in Lancaster, Pa, has been selected by The Central Penn Business Journal as one of the region’s power players for their annual Power 100 List.
The Central Penn Business Journal’s Power 100 list, selected by the by the publication’s editorial leadership team, recognizes the area’s most significant, influential and respected leaders in their field.
What started as a hobby in his garage, experimenting with electrolysis and reactive methods to power personal vehicles, Schraud has grown GenHydro into a renewable energy project development firm, helping to accelerate the global transition to emissions-free energy.

Since its incorporation in 2021, under Schraud’s leadership, GenHydro has developed a novel and highly economic green energy production technology that creates green hydrogen and clean energy from water and scrap metal without using electricity. They source waste aluminum, process it into a reactant powder (solid fuel), and use this solid fuel in modular GenHydro reactors, placed at a customer’s location, for emissions-free on-site hydrogen production and clean energy generation.
